How cute is James!? He is growing like a weed and seriously lights up the room with his smiles and giggles anytime you are around him. I know he’s my nephew so I am a little biased but he’s pretty much the cutest thing ever. This was the most no-fuss shoot and turned out to be one of my cutest yet. I shot James in one of of these adorable Serena and Lily baskets that they use for toy storage. The blues and whites against the simple white fencing and deck were a perfect combination to keep all the focus on sweet James and not detract from what we really wanted to capture: his new little expressions that are developing with each passing month. The last shot I setup in his nursery on his changing table and just love it. Every night when I come over to see the boys this is usually where I find James post bath time and I think it really captures an authentic sweet memory for my sister. All in all this session took about 25 minutes and was the perfect amount of time to keep this little 8 month old happy and engaged without overstimulating him. At this age usually less is more when it comes to sessions! Choosing simple clean setups resulted in some great shots that I know they will print and love forever.
