I’m so excited to share this lovely little Magnolia Plantation wedding on the blog. Caroline and Mike are the sweetest couple and I had so much fun shooting my last wedding of 2015. Jessica of Cruz Coordination did such a lovely job tying all the gorgeous details together for the couple and the day went off without a hitch. I love the chic white lounge furniture and the simple gold and blush palette that Caroline chose. Caroline is an amazing painter (Check her out) and loved the idea of a garden wedding for which Magnolia Plantation was the perfect fit. The day started out a bit dreary but in true Charleston fashion turned into a beautiful afternoon with gorgeous warm light. Before the wedding I asked Caroline to describe her vision for the day and she said, “I’ve always loved flowers so when I started planning the wedding, I knew that I wanted a “garden themed” wedding with lots of soft romantic colors, flowers, and candles. The venue is obviously perfect, so it was just a matter of fine tuning the space with rentals and even more flowers! Live music was very important to us so we found an incredible band that will definitely have our crowd out on the dance floor all night long. We decided to do a sparkler send off because Mike and I met at New Years almost three years ago and that night we had our first kiss. Going along with that theme, we are giving out mini champagne bottles as favors and the Saxophone player will come out to play Old Lang Syne as we make our big exit!”
After the ceremony we had a few minutes to whisk Mike and Caroline away for some portraits together underneath the beautiful oaks on the grounds and at the iconic white bridge. However our favorite stop was at the little Christmas Village that was setup! Both Caroline and Mike and their guests ate, drank, danced and partied the evening away and the big exit was exactly as they planned. I wish these two a lifetime of happiness and adventure.
