Lauren + Corey | Charleston Engagement Session

I love these shots from Lauren and Corey’s Charleston engagement session! Lauren opted for a more formal look and the result is really classic and beautiful. She wanted a more elegant and classic look for their portraits. Their attire definitely lent itself to some crisp black and white images as well. We chose to begin our session in Washington Square Park and then walk along the cobblestone streets down to the French Quarter. We were lucky to have such a gorgeous fall day and a little bit of autumn color changing in the leaves on Church Street. This area of downtown Charleston is one of my favorites to shoot in because I think it lends itself to a very classicly Charleston vibe. We tend to shoot down by the battery and Rainbow row so much that it’s refreshing to get to select different beautiful areas for sessions! These two were staying at the Mills House for the weekend so they were able to just walk right over.  Lauren and Corey are so sweet and I can’t wait to shoot their Lowndes Grove wedding next spring. These two are high school sweethearts, how cute is that!?
