After what seems like an eternity I am so glad to finally be launching the new look and brand: Emily Baucom Photography. Five years into being a Charleston wedding photographer and I’ve never been more motivated and excited for the growth in my photography and career. After Travis and I got married in October 2012 I decided that I wanted to revamp my business with a look that is representative of myself, my clients and the exciting photographs I have yet to create…fast forward almost two years later and I am so happy to finally have completed the design process and can begin to share my work on a platform I am truly proud of. The new site and blog full of Charleston weddings and family portraits is online and I’d love for you to go and take a peek around! There are so many sessions I have yet to share! So bare with me while we still work out the kinks of the mobile viewing and as I transition all of my social media over to EBP! The old site will eventually redirect to this one in case any past clients wind up here, it’s still me!
Meet the newest addition to the family, my nephew James. He is the sweetest thing in the world. Enjoy his newborn session! I am so lucky to live right down the street from my two favorite nephews. Sweet Baby James you couldn’t be any cuter. The photos below were taken in my home on James Island which has the most beautiful light for newborn portraits! A wonderful discovery! I love capturing the moments at Weddings and Engagement celebrations. But when it comes to the emotional connection during a photography session. I would be hard pressed to find something that compares to a mother and her newborn child. Please enjoy the photos from this Newborn photography Charleston SC photo session.
Hope you enjoyed viewing the photos as much as I did taking them. If you are in need of Children or Newborn photography Charleston SC please Contact Me to discuss arranging a photography session.
Check out the warm light and beginnings of blooms in this Hampton Park romantic engagement photo session! Charleston has so many great parks and I am making a point to take more couples and families to new beautiful areas to shoot! I love the warm crisp light in these. Congratulations to Liz and Matt and happy wedding planning !

I loved photographing this intimate spring wedding in Downtown Charleston! The ceremony was held at Bethel United Methodist Church which is surrounded by gorgeous blooms right now. The couple then hosted an intimate reception at Virginia’s on King where family and close friends enjoyed a delicious dinner, wine and the downtown Charleston atmosphere in Spring! These two are such a sweet couple and were just so excited to be getting married. The entire day was relaxed and perfect. A big thanks to Brittany Callahan for shooting with me and helping me to capture the day so authentically! Congratulations to the happy couple !!

I am so excited to share this beautiful McCradys wedding in Downtown Charleston! I know its been literally a year since I’ve posted a thing. I’m still working on a re-brand with my new married name and new website and blog are in the works. I just decided I can no longer stand to wait to share new Charleston wedding photography. Look forward to the launch but until then I hope you enjoy the photos from this adorable wedding. CJ and Patrick were married at the Unitarian Church in Charleston and then celebrated the rest of the beautiful February evening at McCradys. (yum). Amanda Lewis of Southern Chic Weddings did her thing again and the the entire day was perfect. CJ and Patrick opted to do a first look which allowed us ample time to get lots of beautiful portraits in the courtyard near the church. Check out some of the shots of the wedding party in front of the vintage 1957 Crown Super Coach courtesy of Low Country Valet, my new favorite wedding transportation. Congratulations to the happy couple and a big thanks to my second shooter Kyle Dillon for helping me throughout the day!
